Search and Rescue: How to Bring Your Family and Friends Into or Back Into the Catholic Church - Patrick Madrid Review & Synopsis
Synopsis
You don't have to become a biblical scholar or a theologian to be an effective spokesman for the Catholic Faith. In fact, even though you don't know all the answers and can't explain every aspect of the Faith, you can begin winning souls to the Church right now . . . using prayer, friendship, and common sense.
It sounds almost too good to be true, but in Search and Rescue Patrick Madrid explains why these are among the most effective, time-tested methods for bringing family and friends into - or back into - the Church. As the publisher of Envoy magazine, author of many apologetics books (including Surprised by Truth 2), and a veteran defender of the Faith, Madrid himself has used these methods successfully for years.
But Madrid doesn't give you only the benefit of his own considerable experience: in Search and Rescue he also includes simple and genial advice from St. Francis of Assisi, St. Augustine, and other great lovers of God. Get Search and Rescue - the book that shows you how you can start winning souls for Christ today!

Dear Brother
"Dear Brother" is a fresh compilation of Catholic Apologetics targeted toward non-Catholic Christians. However, the book was especially written for Catholics who have found themselves in RCIA programs against the wishes of Protestant friends and family. It contains an exhaustive biblical defense of essential Catholic doctrines, a glimpse of the general councils in Church history, and the author's own conversion story. It is difficult to find so much material packed into one easy to read volume. "Dear Brother" manages this in a way that is both personal and compelling. A real page turner for anyone interested in Catholicism! FEATURES: - the author's personal testimony - a summary of each ecumenical council - a list of the popes - over twenty articles on saints - suggested reading and resource lists - quotes from the early Church - HUNDREDS of Scriptural references

Catholics Come Home
With a Foreword by Scott Hahn, bestselling author of The Lamb's Supper God has something extraordinary planned for your life . . . In our fast-paced, highly technological world, this statement might sound a bit lofty, but the lives of millions of souls who have come before us attest to this simple truth: God has a wonderful plan in store for you. With these words, Tom Peterson, founder and president of Catholics Come Home, a nonprofit multimedia organization dedicated to promoting Catholic evangelization, offers inspiration for believers from all walks of life, whether lapsed or practicing, to deepen their faith and draw them closer to Jesus and His Church. In a series of moving stories and personal anecdotes, Tom relates how after rediscovering his faith, he experienced God's unfailing love, and soon found his true purpose in life. You can too! Drawing from scripture, his own struggles and discoveries, and the lives of the saints as well as ordinary individuals, the author offers seven ways to enter into a more deeply personal relationship with Jesus. These are pearls that you can share with others to illuminate the importance of the Catholic faith and open wide the door to a homecoming celebration.
